Beta privacy notice

This notice explains the data used by Cutting Edge Plays during private beta.

Applications and accounts

We store your name, email, selected sports, research interests, application status, verification and consent dates, account role, access status and onboarding progress. We ask you to confirm you are 21 or older; we do not request your birth date or identity documents in the application.

Individual beta passwords are stored as salted password hashes. Session and invitation secrets are stored as hashes. Invitations and recovery links sent by email contain temporary secrets: do not share them.

Research, imports and feedback

Saved slips and results are associated with your account. Sports data, model predictions and paper research have a separate history. Screenshot imports and AI research may send the information you submit to OpenAI to process that request. Avoid including personal or financial information in betting-slip screenshots.

Feedback messages and optional screenshots are visible to your account and administrators. Feedback screenshots are not automatically sent to an AI service. Remove names, balances, email addresses and ticket identifiers before uploading.

Essential sessions and optional analytics

Essential cookies keep you signed in and protect account access. Optional beta analytics record signup, activation, feature use and coarse server-error events. Events contain a date, event category and pseudonymous identifier, not your bet amounts, screenshot contents, email, full URL or raw IP address. Identifiers rotate monthly. Counts are deduplicated by feature and day.

You can turn optional analytics off in the dashboard checklist. The site also honors Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control for feature analytics. Security rate limits use short-lived hashed keys even when analytics are off. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process connection details such as IP addresses for delivery and security.

Service providers and email

Railway hosts the application and persistent data; Cloudflare provides domain and traffic services. Existing accounts may use Supabase authentication and storage. OpenAI processes requested AI features. Resend delivers transactional mail when configured. Stripe integration remains reserved for future subscriptions; paid beta checkout is disabled. We do not request card details for beta applications.

Transactional emails cover verification, invitations, recovery and important account or beta notices. Applying does not subscribe you to a marketing campaign. Delivery may be delayed; contact support if an expected message does not arrive.

Retention and your choices

Optional activity events are retained for up to 90 days. Feedback and attachments are removed from the active beta database after 180 days. Security rate limits expire, and account administration audit records are retained for up to a year. Application and member records remain while needed to operate the beta or handle account requests. Expired unsent email contents are removed from the active queue. Copies in backups may remain until those backups are retired.

Use your application status link to withdraw your application and beta access. For access, correction or deletion requests, use dashboard feedback under Privacy request or the support page. Withdrawing access is not the same as deleting all stored data. Historical model research is kept separately and is not rewritten when an account withdraws.
